Why book with a licensed travel advisor

Did you know that not all provinces and states require travel advisors to be licensed? In Canada, only Ontario, British Columbia, and Quebec do—and in the U.S., it’s just five states: Florida, California, Hawaii, Washington, and Iowa.

I’m proudly TICO licensed here in Ontario 🇨🇦, and here’s why that matters for you—even if you live elsewhere in Canada, the U.S., or anywhere in the world 🌎:
👉 You’re still protected under Ontario’s strict consumer travel laws.

TICO (Travel Industry Council of Ontario) is known for having some of the most rigid regulations in the industry. As a licensed advisor, I’m required to:
✅ Invoice clients within 24–48 hours
✅ Disclose all service fees upfront
✅ Offer and explain travel insurance
✅ Inform you of required documentation like valid passports, visas, entry requirements, and travel advisories
✅ Comply with regular audits

Here’s something that adds even more peace of mind: the agency I’m affiliated with, Trevello Travel Group, requires both a criminal background check and a credit check before signing on any advisor. 🔒 That means you’re working with someone who’s been fully vetted—because your trust and safety matter.

When you book through a licensed advisor, you’re not just planning a trip—you’re protecting your investment 💼✨
