When I was younger I have sailed the Caribbean many times. I was new to visiting the Carribean and cruising allowed me to taste the different islands (kind of like a buffet)
Then I got older and knew which islands I really wanted to go to and the ones I didn’t really have an interest in bc I had been there on a cruise.
I think cruising is still the best way to visit different countries in Europe.
Then you can go back and and do a more in depth tour. Most cruises allows you to see 3-4 countries in a short period of time.
It’s also the most economical way to see Europe.
Cruising is also convenient- you unpack once and settle instead of staying in a hotel for 2-3 nights and then packing and moving hotels and repeat again after 2-3 days (talk about exhausting 🤦♀️ not to mention costly as you’re eating out everyday, multiple times a day)
I’ll give you one example; you can take a cruise for well under $10,000 for at least 7 nights depending on how picky you are about a room.
My husband & I are going to Ireland and our trip will be way over $20K for 13 days. Sure, I guess we could stay in hostiles and save tons of money, but let’s face it we’re both 52 and comfort matters. We are staying in 4 1/2 star hotels, not even full 5 star, Europe is expensive if you want to sleep on a comfortable, clean and spacious bed. Then you add transportation, meals, it adds up fast and I know when we get back we will both be exhausted instead of relaxed.
Cruises are a moving hotel that offers meals included with your accommodation. You check in, unpack and you don’t have to worry about packing until your final day.
